You will notice that at the top it says that “Bill Clinton will probably be remembered as the most corrupt president in American history.”This is vintage late 90’s Republican. What is interesting is for all the “corruption” the only charge filed was for perjury, which Republicans today claim is just a technicality. You would think after a REAL partisan like Ken Starr (unlike Patrick Fitzgerald who even Bush claims is on the up and up) and $40 million dollars they would be able to make something more serious stick, had there been any actual illegal activity.
What Republicans seem to forget is that they were in the clear minority during the impeachment. Clinton’s approval ratings at that time were in excess of 60%, an approval rating that Bush would kill to get (you don’t really believe he doesn’t care about polls do you?).
